Daftarkhwan recently hosted the fourth iteration of the ‘VC Exchange’ (VCX) in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The purpose of VCX was to bring forth the creme de la creme of the startup ecosystem and match them with angel investors and venture capital firms investing in Pakistani startups.

The VCX hosted a total of 32 one-on-one investor meetings conducted over a span of 3 hours.

The event was hosted virtually and daftarkhwan selected 10 startups and connected them with most sought — after investors of the Pakistani startup ecosystem.

Investors represented were I2I Ventures, Walled City Ventures, Sarmayacar, Zayn Capital & 47 Ventures. The diverse list of selected startups came from 8 different sectors and included Rnnr, Dot and Line and InventHub, amongst others.

Startups received an additional perk of attending an exclusive workshop on the ‘Art of Funding’, hosted by Denning Tan from AWS, with panelists Rabeel Warraich & Kalsoom Lakhani from Sarmayacar and I2I Ventures, respectively. The workshop dissected Careem’s 2013 pitch deck to illustrate to founders what VCs look for when they analyse investment opportunities.

The startups who applied to the program are now eligible to apply for AWS credits, while selected startups who went on to meet the investors will be getting automatic access to AWS network, tech support & much more.

VCX is a recurring event and aims to help startups access capital and grow their businesses so if you’re a startup looking for raising investment or an investor who’s willing to invest in the Pakistani startup ecosystem, then stay tuned and follow us on social media platforms of your choice!
